Our new season of the podcast is starting with an update on the recent improvements made at Motherwell Library following the ongoing refurbishment.
Join our E-Services Librarian, Chris Wilson, as he chats with various staff about the changes. Rosemary Stewart, the Community Librarian, gives an overview of this major investment in the library. Hilary Petrie, our Digital Learning Officer, tells us about the move of switching floors with our public computers and what's still to come on the first floor. Finally Peter Benassi and Kayleigh Jack tell us what customers can expect from a visit to the new improved adult and children's areas.
Chris also caught up with a very special podcast guest, Jonas, our first little visitor to the fantastic new children's area, to find out his thoughts on it and if he recommends a visit from other children in Motherwell.

Owen, under the pen name of O. J. Mullen has a fantastic new thriller out that the end of July 2023 called Three Sisters, which will be available on BorrowBox from release.
Listen in to the interview to find out more about Owen's writing, his career so far, and of course more about his exciting new novel.

In our latest episode of the podcast our E-Services Librarian, Chris Wilson, caught up once again with children's Author Hannah Peckham.
Hannah was on the podcast previously, chatting about her books Conker and Climb. Since that episode, her little boy Bodhi was diagnosed with Leukaemia and Hannah has been balancing caring for her son and launching her new book Bronty's Battle Cry.
Join Chris and Hannah to hear about the challenging journey she has been on since they last spoke to each other and discover about the #PantsToLeukaemia campaign that has started during Bodhi's treatment.

With the good weather arriving, libraries start to get excited about the Summer Reading Challenge coming.
Chris Wilson, our E-Services Librarian, caught up with our Librarian, Lindsey Smith to find out more about the programme and why everyone should bring their little ones along to sign them up when it's on Saturday 24 June.
Chris also visited a local school, St. Edward's Primary School, to find out from some of the school children why they love reading and what some of their favourite books and authors are too. So make sure you keep listening to hear from the kids themselves. They impressed us with their love of reading and we're sure you will be too.
